A system wide outage is affecting telephone service at Government House on St. Thomas including the Office of the St. Thomas- Water Island Administrator and the Office of Public Relations. The outage is affecting incoming and outgoing telephone calls at this time. We are working with technicians at Innovative Business Systems to troubleshoot and correct the problem, according to Government House Director of Communications Jean P. Greaux, Jr.
As of now there is no timeframe for restoration of service. The outage is not affecting the Office of the Governor in either Christiansted or Frederiksted St. Croix or at The Battery on St. John.
