Government House on St. Thomas continued to experience a telephone service outage on Tuesday. “The service interruption began on Friday night and continued through the holiday weekend,” Government House Director of Communications Jean P. Greaux, Jr. said. “Along with technicians from Innovative Telephone, we are continuing to assess what has contributed to the phone outage and how quickly corrective action can be implemented to restore telephone service to the main number, 774-0001 and all direct-dial extensions at the Government House facilities on St. Thomas.”
It is anticipated that phone service will be restored before the end of this week, Greaux said Tuesday night. The outage is not affecting phone service to the Government House facilities on St. Croix or at The Battery on St. John.
