Repair and
Enhancement of Sub Base Paddle Ball
and Tennis Courts to Begin on Monday
Governor John P. de Jongh, Jr. said Thursday that repairs and enhancement of the Sub Base Paddle Ball and Tennis Courts facility will begin on Monday, February 22. The scope of work for the Sub Base recreation facility includes the installation of energy efficient lights and resurfacing of both the paddle ball and tennis courts,
de Jongh stated.
Housing, Parks and Recreation Commissioner St. Claire N. Williams said the enactment of Act No. 7081 appropriated $100,000 from bond proceeds for the renovation of the Sub Base Paddle Ball and Tennis Courts. We are pleased to be able to address the repairs and enhancement of this facility. It is necessary to temporarily close the facility effective February 22 while every effort is being made to complete the work by the end of March, if not sooner.
Williams expressed regret at any inconvenience and asked for the patience and cooperation of everyone during the renovation period.
