The professionals who practice in the medical laboratory, including pathologists, medical technologists, cytotechnologists, histotechnologists, medical laboratory technicians and phlebotomists, are all invaluable members of the patient's health care team. Their work performing and evaluating medical laboratory tests helps prevent diseases and saves countless lives.
