"CLICK IT OR TICKET" SAFETY BELT ENFORCEMENT MONTH PROCLAIMED IN THE UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS Gov. deJongh proclaimed the month of May 2008 as "Click or Ticket - Safety Enforcement Month," in the U.S. Virgin Islands. One in five American motorists still fail to regularly wear their safety belts while driving or riding in a motor vehicle. Regular safety belt use is the single most effective way to protect people and to reduce fatalities and injuries in motor vehicle crashes. The safety and security of the citizens of the U.S. Virgin Islands are vitally important. Gov. deJongh calls upon all drivers to join with him and regularly use safety belts when driving or riding on our roadways. |
