Department of Public Works to install payment marking along Melvin Evans Highway Public Works Commissioner Darryl Smalls advises the motoring public that Traffic Control Devices crews will install pavement markings along Route 66 - Melvin Evans Highway. This process will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 and Wednesday, September 19, 2007, from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Smalls requests the motoring public proceed with caution when traveling along the Melvin Evans Highway and into the intersection with East Airport Road. Motorists are asked to follow all detour signs and adhere to all traffic control directions. The public’s patience is appreciated while the installation of the necessary traffic control devices is taking place.
