Governor extends condolences to the
family of Dr. Sylvester O. McDonald
Gov. John P. deJongh, Jr. Tuesday extended heartfelt sympathies to the family of Dr. Sylvester O. McDonald.
"I was saddened to hear of his passing on Friday but was grateful for the opportunity to have visited with him during his recent hospitalization at Schneider
Regional," deJongh said.
"Dr. Mac" has had a distinguished career wherein he held many positions including Acting Commissioner of Health, Chief of Surgery, Medical Director and Orthopedic Consultant to the Charles Harwood Hospital in St. Croix. He is perhaps well known for his private practice where he treated all who sought his help with utmost respect, courtesy and patience.
"Cecile joins me and a grateful community in extending sympathies to Dr. McDonald’s four children: John, Michael, Judith and Genevieve as well as to his extended family. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time of sorrow and bereavement. May he rest in
peace," deJongh said. |
