deJongh departs territory for meetings on the U.S. Mainland, Watson-Anderson is Acting Governor Gov. John P. deJongh, Jr. departed the territory today to attend meetings in the state of Pennsylvania. Also, Lt. Governor Gregory Francis departed the territory on Tuesday to attend meetings of the National Lt. Governor’s Association in Virginia. In their absence, Finance Commissioner Claudette Watson-Anderson will serve as Acting Governor. Following her confirmation by the 27th Legislature, Anderson was administered the oath of office during a private ceremony in the Governors’ office this week. DeJongh returns to the territory this weekend. |
