Avoid back to school immunization rush Health Commissioner-designee Vivian I. Ebbesen-Fludd is urging parents/guardians to take advantage of immunization screenings offered by the Department of Health early and beat the rush usually associated with the start of the new school year. Immunization clinics are accepting walk-in clients now through Thursday, August 9, 2007, Ebbesen-Fludd said. Thereafter, vaccinations will be provided by appointment for a one-month period from August 13, 2007 through September 13, 2007. Clients should call the following numbers between 2 and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule appointments.
