Governor departs Territory for meetings in Washington Gov. John deJongh departed the territory Wednesday afternoon to attend meetings in Washington D.C. on Thursday. While in the nation’s capital, deJongh is expected to meet with Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty and officials of the National Guard Bureau (NGB). During the Chief Executive’s absence, Lt. Governor Gregory Francis will serve as Acting Governor. DeJongh returns to the territory on Friday. |
