Mon Bijou Road / Route 73 Bridge project detour will now take effect on April 10th Acting Public Works Commissioner Robert Moorhead said Friday that road detours along an ongoing project on St. Croix will not take effect until April 10, 2007. The detours were originally set to commence on March 19, 2007. "The change in the effective date of the detour is the result of unexpected delays in getting signage delivered to the island in a timely manner," Moorhead noted. The detours are essential for the continued work on the Mon Bijou road project along Route 73. The detours are expected to impact communities including: Frangipani, Mon Bijou and Estates Little Fountain, Betzys Jewel and Canan. |
