First Lady continues to campaign for Senator Obama Continues work along the campaign trail ahead of Super Tuesday Just ahead of Super Tuesday where more than twenty (20) states will hold Democratic Primaries and Caucuses, First Lady Cecile deJongh, continued her efforts to help campaign on behalf of Senator Barack Obama for President this time in Massachusetts. The First Lady, who also campaigned on behalf of Senator Obama in the recently successful South Carolina Primary, continued to join forces with other members of the "Obama for America" New England Steering Committee to lend support and help mobilize voters ahead of the Massachusetts Democratic Primary Election this Tuesday. Similar to her trip to South Carolina, the First Lady spent the Massachusetts trip campaigning, and speaking, at several rallies and scheduled Obama events. She was also able to spend time campaigning alongside fellow the First Lady of Massachusetts Diane Patrick during this most recent trip. "The energy and momentum we are all seeing on the campaign trail for Senator Obama is very
inspiring," said Cecile deJongh. "I feel very fortunate to have seen firsthand the warmth, energy and hospitality of the people of Massachusetts and South Carolina. I am happy to have been able to do my part ahead of Super Tuesday and Gov. John P. deJongh Jr. and First Lady Cecile deJongh have endorsed Barack Obama’s candidacy for President and have committed themselves to help promote the Senator’s candidacy both locally here in the Virgin Islands and wherever they can be helpful abroad. |
