Mental Health Awareness
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, First Lady Cecile de Jongh launched a month-long radio campaign to raise awareness on the reality of mental illness, including tips on recognizing signs and symptoms, as well as encouraging professional, medical help when needed.

Mental illness affects one in five persons in the territory and is completely treatable and manageable with proper care. The First Lady encourages talking about diagnosis and recovery options in the context of good overall mental health as part of leading a balanced and happy life. She urges us to “Take Action and Help a Loved One.”
