Governor's Reading Challenge Hits Florence Williams Public Library
Posted by Angeli T. Ferdschneider on July 25, 2011 at 10:39 AM AST

This past Saturday, the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge was represented at the Reopening Celebration for the Children's Room at the Florence Williams Public Library on St. Croix. I spoke about the program and read the governor's letter to students that appears in this summer's featured books. We gave way over 100 books and tracking sheets to students.

Commissioner Alicia Barnes of the Department of Planning & Natural Resources joined me at the event and did a great reading of “The Big Roar!" by Mim Green.
