§ 415a. Board of Examiners for the Practice of Veterinary Medicine
Continuation
(a) The Board of Examiners for the Practice of Veterinary Medicine, heretofore established within the Department of Agriculture and Labor, is transferred to, and continued within, the Department of Health.
Composition; appointment and qualifications of members
(b) The Board shall be comprised of seven members appointed by the Governor, three of whom shall reside in St. Croix, and three of whom shall reside in St. Thomas and one of whom shall reside in St. John.
Terms of members; vacancies
(c) After the completion of the term of existing members of the Board, all members shall serve for terms of two years. Each member shall serve until the appointment and qualification of his successor.
Chairman
(d) The Governor shall designate the Chairman of the Board. The Chairman and three members of the Board shall constitute a quorum.
Removal of members
(e) The members may be removed by the Governor for cause.
Additional functions of Board
(f) In addition to the performance of its functions prescribed by law, the Board shall perform such functions as the Commissioner of Health prescribes, or as required by Federal law.
